The 2010 Eastbourne RNLI Regatta

We've only just put the last of the stuff away from last year's Regatta and now we're getting it all out again! We actually had our first meeting for this Regatta Tuesday 1 September last year and we always comment that it takes no time at all for it to come back round again. One minute we're packing up, the next things it's Airbourne and panic stations!

We seem to have magic storage too because I'm pretty sure that we didn't have this much stuff when we set up last year either. I can only presume it the Second Coxswain's packing & organisational skills.

It's been a busy year around the Lifeboat station - lots of things happening on and off the water but every one of them reminding us all of why we're here and what we're raising money for. The number of shouts shows how busy we've been; especially with the Inshore Lifeboat - they've had an unprecedented amount - nearly 60 and it's only August - a fair number of those have dragged them from a warm cosy bed.

So… it's on with the show… fingers crossed for warm days, good breeze, lots of fun, cracking parties and raising lots of money to keep our lifeboats in prime condition and our crews trained and equipped to save lives at sea.

Keep up-to-date throughout the big weekend with our iPhone app.
